More often than not, one does not come
to life’s more interesting conclusions on their own.
Most of the time we have to ask help from others to
figure things out. Trying to better understand the
world cannot always be purely achieved during a
heartfelt conversation with a friend over a cup of
coffee, or a stronger beverage. For thousands of years,
our ancestors grasped the mysteries of the world through
stories told by a silver tongue while sitting next to a
warm and inviting fire along with family and friends.
Even though we still may do this on an
annual camping trip during the summer, the modern fireplace
in many ways is the home entertainment system prominently
displayed in our everyday living rooms. As the world has
progressed from the days of only a handful of channels,
there is more choice than ever. Practically every motion
picture ever made is only a few button clicks away as
streaming has enveloped the world with its convenience
within the last decade.
With this amount of choice, there is a far
greater opportunity to find content everyone can enjoy. This
is nothing but good news. Watching a good movie by yourself
is usually not quite as fun as watching it with loved ones
however. Consequently, home entrainment has become the new
daily fireside experience. Psychology has even come to the
conclusion our minds have evolved to understand the abstract
concepts of daily life through storytelling.
This is why it’s more important than ever in
our generationally distant society to partake in something as
simple as enjoying a movie together. It goes without saying
that in the last fews years times have been difficult. With
this in mind, sitting down to watch a movie with our favorite
people may be one of the more enjoyable activities to help us
learn, comprehend, and thrive in order to create new wholesome
everyday experiences for everyone.
